What a wonderful event to be a part of! In October, 2023, we joined Travelers staff for an unusual and wonderful occasion. Some 100 Travelers staff, in concert with around 10 City of Toronto workers, built a brand new playground in an underserved area of Toronto at Dixon Park. Though it rained on and off for the entire time, the enthusiasm of everyone involved - even as they were cold, soaked and dirty as heck - was quite something to behold. As was the final product, which by midday I had doubts would be completed before the official ribbon-cutting at 3pm. But finish it they did!
