OPSEU/SEFPO 2026 Convention

Last week we photographed the 2.5 day OPSEU/SEFPO 2026 Convention at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Over 2000 delegates attended the boisterous event, which included elections for the President (with candidates JP Hornick, Sara Labelle and Melissa Shaw) and First Senior Vice-President/Treasurer (with candidates Laurie Nancekivell and Aisha Jahangir). Both incumbents, JP Hornick and Laurie Nancekivell won. Both races were spirited but wonderfully respectful. The event included an Indigenous opening/closing and a Kids March. The room was 500 metres wide, so there was lots to cover!

The keynote speech on the final day was presented by Linda McQuaig.

One of the services we provide is posting pictures to events as they happen. So, we had a photo editor on-site. He downloaded the pix every hour, selected and fixed the good ones and posted for all delegates to see. This option is great for both posting to social media and for delegates to enjoy the pix, almost in real time.
