Livingface Photography had the honour of photographing this special gala for an organization that plays an important role in taking care of our veterans. Every year they get 25 artists to get creative with helmets which are then included in a massive silent auction (including other donated items) which raises much needed money for our veterans who not only do not receive nearly enough support from official sources once they return from action, but who also make up a shocking 10% of our homeless population.
We arrived the day before the event and photographed the helmets, followed by the gala the next evening. A wonderful affair. Here are some highlights, including a musical performance by the Barenaked Ladies:
